Some winter weddings just hit different — and Erika & Chad’s January 17th celebration was one of them.
They were married at Bolivar Presbyterian Church, where we started with classic, traditional portraits inside the sanctuary. Erika’s emerald green bridesmaids’ dresses against the warm church tones were such a good contrast — timeless but still bold.
After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a bus and we headed to Buttermilk Falls for winter portraits. It was lightly snowing, the falls were flowing with delicate icicles (not frozen over, just perfectly wintery), and everything felt quiet and cinematic in that way only winter landscapes do. We even caught a few soft golden hour moments before heading to the reception.
The night wrapped up at the Armagh Fire Hall, where I photographed their entrances, first dance, and heartfelt toasts — the kind where you can feel how deeply loved and supported they are by the people around them.
What stood out most about Erika and Chad wasn’t just the scenery or the snow — it was how naturally they fit together. Calm, connected, and clearly so in love.
A beautiful way to start a year of weddings. 🤍
