2025 Wedding Highlights Across Pennsylvania
Every year tells its own story, and 2025 was a collection of the most unique, heartfelt weddings I’ve ever photographed. From snowy forest elopements to candlelit gothic halls, from cozy lodges to rooftop vows in the heart of Pittsburgh, each celebration had its own energy and emotion. This season took me across Pennsylvania, into the woods, across fields, through small towns, and up into the skyline. Looking back at these moments reminds me why I love what I do. These are some of my favorite highlights from the year.
Grace and Luis | Summit Hill Winter Forest Wedding
A quiet Black Friday wedding deep inside a 4,200 acre forest, accessed through Grace’s aunt’s backyard. Snow fell softly the entire day, turning their elopement into a winter fairytale. They shared a first look in the backyard before walking ten peaceful minutes into the woods, where their intimate ceremony took place among tall pines. Afterward, everyone warmed up with Puerto Rican hot cocoa made by Grace herself. A day rooted in culture, emotion, and the beauty of nature.
Allison and Ian | Contres Greer Social Hall, Northern Cambria
Gothic romance met rock and roll in the most unforgettable way. Allison walked the aisle in a black and nude gown, surrounded by candlelight and emerald tones. Their reception glowed with velvet textures, dark florals, gold accents and moody ambiance. At eight o’clock, the atmosphere shifted as Ian’s band took the stage and the groom performed live at his own wedding. A warm ceremony followed by a full concert. Truly iconic.
Karolyn and Randy | The Barn at Rayne Run, Marion Center
October weddings always feel a little more magical. Karolyn’s crimson hair and sparkling gown caught every bit of fading autumn light. The ceremony took place outside under an open fall sky, followed by a candlelit reception inside the barn. Their sweetheart table glowed beneath a crimson neon sign reading Til Death, surrounded by deep wine florals and antique touches. A perfect blend of moody, witchy and romantic.
Raquel and Anthony | Oak Lodge, Stahlstown
A fairytale day tucked inside the log chapel at Oak Lodge. Raquel shared emotional first looks with her bridesmaids, father and grandfather before walking down the aisle where she and Anthony exchanged vows surrounded by rustic beams and stained glass. Soft rain made their portraits even more romantic, especially when they shared an umbrella before sunset. The reception glowed with warm lights and long family style tables, creating a cozy celebration that felt both timeless and heartfelt.
Abby and Nick | Cherry Runn Lodge
A classic, sentimental wedding full of soft light, wood beams and emotional moments. Abby shared an unforgettable first look with her father before walking into an unplugged ceremony where everyone stayed present. Portraits around the lodge highlighted sage details and natural charm. Their reception included heartfelt speeches, timeless dances and a fun biscuit bar honoring their dog. Simple, elegant and full of joy.
Megan and Clayton | Succop Nature Park, Butler
Romantic, personal and filled with meaning. Megan and Clayton’s first look inside the greenhouse set the tone for a day full of warmth and laughter. Their travel book of memories was a beautiful detail showing how much life they’ve lived together already. The reception included twinkle lights and a cozy lounge space made of thrifted autumn toned furniture. Portraits by the old weeping willow created some of the most sentimental images of the season.
Elizabeth and Matthew | Yinzer Valley Farm, Mt. Pleasant
A Sunday wedding wrapped in dusty rose and sage green, set against the rolling hills of Yinzer Valley Farm. Summer rain came and went, but the ceremony chairs dried just in time for their vows overlooking the hills. Guests gathered upstairs for dinner and later enjoyed the patio swings by the fireplace. A relaxed, romantic celebration with soft, moody skies that made everything glow.
Willow and RJ | Indiana Country Club
A classic wedding with navy and sage details and a relaxed, natural feel. After sharing their vows beneath the shade of the trees, we explored the grounds by golf cart for portraits. Their reception was lively and joyful, complete with a full lineup of traditional dances, heartfelt moments and a beautiful cake. A timeless summer celebration full of elegance and ease.
Kayla and Tyler | Moody Woodland Wedding
Bold, untraditional and beautifully them. Kayla wore a stunning black wedding dress and embraced a til death aesthetic. Their ceremony was outdoors, followed by portraits in the woods and then the graveyard, where the imagery became hauntingly romantic. Dinner was mountain pies grilled fireside and dessert was s’mores under the stars. A wedding filled with personality, magic and edge.
Morgan Rihn — Backyard Western Tent Wedding | Pennsylvania
Morgan and her husband hosted one of the most relaxed and fun celebrations of my season — a backyard tent reception overflowing with western charm. They were already officially married earlier in the year, so this day was all about gathering the people they love and celebrating in their own style.
Cowboy hats, denim, boots, and liquor-bottle centerpieces filled the space, and every guest showed up in their best country attire. The evening felt intimate and personal, with music, laughter, and the kind of energy that only comes from a backyard wedding under open sky.
A reminder that weddings don’t have to follow rules — they just have to feel like you.
Halie and Thomas | Hyatt House Rooftop, Pittsburgh
Set on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city, Halie and Thomas shared emotional vows just before the storm rolled in. Their first look took place along the river with the Pittsburgh bridges behind them. One of the most touching moments was when Halie walked halfway down the aisle with her father before her stepfather joined her for the rest. Rain, wind, wildflowers, pressed floral cake and a skyline celebration made this day unforgettable.
Second Shooting at The Red Fern, Saint Marys
I also had the opportunity to second shoot at The Red Fern in Saint Marys, a beautiful venue with rustic charm and glowing indoor light. It was a refreshing creative shift and an honor to collaborate with another photographer while capturing a stunning celebration in a new location.
