There’s something so special about documenting the next chapter in someone’s story, especially when you’ve been part of their journey for years. Jamie and her husband are expecting their first child, a baby boy, and I couldn’t be more honored to capture this beautiful milestone.
We met at Mingo Park for their maternity session, a place close to their hearts. Even though it was a rainy day, the overcast skies and soft drizzle only added to the cozy, woodsy feel that suits them so well. Jamie wore stunning fall neutrals that perfectly complemented the season, while her husband kept it classic and adventurous in plaid. Together, they created a timeless, rustic aesthetic that felt so true to who they are as a couple.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Jamie and her husband before, years ago, when they eloped in a stunning, intimate ceremony at Ohiopyle State Park. Their love for nature and adventure has been a constant theme in their lives, and it shines through in their photos. Now, as they prepare to welcome their son, it’s clear that their story is only growing richer.
The session took us to some of their favorite spots in the park, including the trails where they often walk their dogs. It’s clear how much this place means to them, and capturing these moments in a setting they love was so meaningful. Jamie radiated with joy and calm, and it was beautiful to see the quiet excitement shared between her and her husband as they anticipate the arrival of their little one.
This session was not only about capturing memories but also about celebrating a new chapter in their adventure-filled life. From eloping in the woods to raising a family, their journey is one that’s grounded in love, nature, and connection. I can’t wait to meet their little boy and photograph the next step in their story.
