This session was extra special — Shawnna isn’t just a client, she’s a coworker and a friend. Photographing people you already adore always brings this relaxed, genuine energy, and that’s exactly what we had on the Saltsburg Trail this Sunday, November 2nd.
The trail was lined with soft golden leaves, the air calm and cool — that perfect in-between before winter settles in. The overcast light filtered through the trees just right, giving everything that even, painterly glow.
Shawnna and Thomas were so easy together. The kind of couple that just fit — quiet smiles, inside jokes, and the way they kept forgetting I was there because they were too busy laughing with each other. That’s the good stuff — the in-between moments that make engagement photos feel like more than portraits; they feel like memory.
We wandered the trail, stopping by the wooden bridges and open stretches where the last of the autumn color still lingered. No rush, no posing too hard, just the two of them existing in that simple, beautiful kind of love.
