I’ve had the incredible honor of photographing this beautiful family for the past six years, and it’s been such a joy to watch them grow. From their engagement session in 2018 to their wedding, then the maternity and newborn photos for their son, Eli, I’ve had the privilege of capturing many milestones in their lives. And now, just four years after their first maternity session, I was lucky enough to photograph them once again, this time to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their daughter.
Mingo Park in the heart of Pennsylvania provided the perfect backdrop for this rainy day maternity shoot. Even though the weather was less than ideal, these two held off for a while, and we were able to capture some stunning portraits by the creek and under the covered bridge. The deep plums of the mom’s dress contrasted beautifully with the earthy neutrals the boys wore—tan and olive hues that grounded the photos in the serene nature of the park.
What made this session even more special was the bond we’ve built over the years. They’re no longer just clients—they’ve become friends. It’s such a rewarding feeling to not only watch their family grow but to also see the love and connection they share grow stronger with each passing year. And of course, little Eli stole the show! He’s such a polite, cute, and well-mannered boy, making it a joy to work with him during our time together. His excitement for his new little sister was so heartwarming to see.
As we moved through the session, we captured sweet moments of anticipation for the new addition to their family. There’s something so magical about maternity portraits—the way the parents glow with excitement and love as they await the arrival of their child. I can’t wait to see their family grow even more, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.
I’m looking forward to capturing more of their family’s journey in the years to come. Stay tuned for their newborn session soon!
